Pros

Colleagues were friendly, though we all left at the same time!

Cons

Production environment is a nightmare, outages all the time- Management would not let IT resolve the issue because, resolution would cause an outage- Management had no foresight to realize the issues could have been resolved with one outage verses having to band-aid problems all the time! Company is also in dire need of hiring the right people, such as a DBA who could have provided the right direction for both IT and Development on the needed process to stabilize the database environment. However, just another request ignored. Lastly, the CEO and President are bullies- the are the true definition of what NOT to do as a boss and an entrepreneur. If you like stress and extremely long hours due to all the problems this HyperWALLET is the employer for you.

Pros

I have worked at F500 companies that are not as clear on their direction and vision you will find in Hyperwallet. From the top down, people sincerely care about their co-workers and treat each other like family. The technical agility of Hyperwallet blows me away. It is a great place to work if you are someone who likes to actually be able to make a difference. People who do not put the customer first, do not take responsibility for their work, and are not dedicated to contributing to the corporate culture in a positive way do not last long here. There is no room for excuses or clock punching here. Because it is a fast-paced, growing company interested in being the gold standard, there are opportunities to learn a wider scope of work than just your discrete business area. Business leaders open the door to educate staff, promote learning and career growth on all levels.

Cons

You will find that there are not always templates to utilize or workflow processes in place that clearly define internal roles. People are used to just getting the job done. These things are being put in place as the structure of the company continues to grow. The technology is complex and takes at least 6 months to learn and is constantly changing.
