Pros
Exceptional market share of the petro, chemical, and steel industries, manufacturing and reworking there factory valves. They are occupying a new facility, and purchased new CNC, automatic welders, water jet, and forming equipment. They stay busy most of the year, with a lot of O/T available.
Cons
Inexperienced and supportive upper management, who don't listen to the voice of experience. They're in a new facility, have some fairly new CNC milling and turning center's, plasma, water jet, press/forming equipment, but won't properly tool them or purchase the proper measuring equipment (mic's, indicator's, etc....) to meet the shop needs, which hampers production and scheduling. Management focuses and spends more on the implementation and ideology of 5S and LEAN. Success begins from within, and during my time of employment, they hadn't figured that one out yet.
