Pros
It can be a great way to make an impact for people who are disadvantaged, from different corners of the world. Being a large organisation, the exposure to a huge range of locations that receive humanitarian or development assistance is great.
Cons
It simply does not do what it preaches. As employee, I encountered misogyny. I witnessed sexual harassment, waste of resources, discrimination, lack of meritocracy, bullying. If you want to be ethical, fair, use the resources available in the most efficient way, you will be not thanked. On the contrary, you might be considered a nuisance.
