Pros

Salaries are good , generally above market median . Some decent benefits for a medium sized company eg sports subsidy and pension. Some really talented , hard working employees committed to delivering the best for patients especially those at first line management level and field / marketing teams . Positive working environment in some teams . Leadership of market access and regulatory particularly good . Initial information and support for field and office staff very good at start of pandemic.

Cons

Think very carefully before taking a field sales / marketing role at Ipsen. The management style is micro management, inconsistent application of policies to suit senior leadership and some tactics/ behaviours that border on bullying. Stress levels are high in the field and marketing teamand retention is poor, must be one of the worst in the industry. Highly unrealistic sales targets mean sales bonuses are often impossible to achieve Senior leaders becoming less accommodating on the COVID situation and putting pressure on the teams to achieve virtual activity targets despite the challenges in the nhs. All sales teams questioned in front of peers on what they’ve done every day! Despite enforced working from home, refusal to move times of calls when teams are homeschooling and caring for young children has resulted in low morale . All decisions controlled by UKLT/ GM and first line leaders have no autonomy . Engagement survey results for the UK were awful but no recognition or accountability for this has been seen yet.

Pros

Ipsen continues to offer a mission‑driven environment where teams are genuinely committed to improving outcomes for patients and society, and that sense of purpose shows up in the day‑to‑day culture. Collaboration across functions is strong, and there are meaningful opportunities to contribute to strategy, development, and cross‑functional problem‑solving. We have an amazing team filled with valuable talents.

Cons

The pace of change and evolving priorities can sometimes create ambiguity, and some processes still require tighter alignment to reduce friction and improve consistency. Development pathways and communication around long‑term strategy can feel uneven depending on the team. However, Ipsen remains a place where impact, collaboration, and purpose are real strengths, with room to continue strengthening operational clarity and consistency as the organization grows, which is an achievement.

Pros

Some nice colleagues. Good perks.

Cons

High leadership turnover and lack of transparency and direction. A few toxic individuals are running the show, promoting inexperienced employees at the expense of competent ones.
