Pros
Colleagues were always willing to lend a hand, no reservations. Never felt my suggestions or advice were discounted.
Cons
I didn't fully understand that I had to manage my own administrative affairs. For example, year-to-year evaluations were non-existent for me. Up to that point, I was used to larger organizations where announcements of such things were the norm. I was RIF'd a little over a 18 months into my employment there.
