Pros

Good people, relaxed culture. Strong values.

Cons

Upper management often plays "favorites"; there's an inner circle and if you're not a part of it you'll never move up. Slow to change and adapt to new technologies.

Pros

The people, the products, are both fabulous.

Cons

The industry is a tough one and dominated by global media conglomerates.

Pros

- Leadership cares about the mission and is making great strides to effect positive change and growth in the company - Very remote/hybrid-friendly - Cares about lifting up marginalized voices - Publishes great books - Good benefits - Great people - I have better work-life balance here than at any other job I've had.

Cons

- Pay can be considered low for general publishing industry standards, but in my opinion, it is actually pretty high by ministry standards. IVP is definitely viewed as a ministry, but the environment is much more professional than other ministries I have worked at.
