Pros

Generic: - No issues with leave, pay or insurance - Private health/life insurance - Work/life balance: The company allows different start times (between 8.30 and 11.00 am) and respects the 8h working day. - Training opportunities: Plenty of self-study (role-related and not) material on training platform, as well as instructor-led sessions on the company's premises. - Young, fresh, collaborative teams - Co-workers willing to help and educate fellow team-members, especially new-joiners - Possible to switch between roles and teams Role-specific: - Fast-paced, growing environment - Ideal role for entry-level tech graduates who want to be part of large tech projects from design, implementation, and testing, to deployment, while becoming familiar with various cross-functional business processes - Little micromanagement; much space to take initiative and grow into the role as a subject-matter expert

Cons

The following are not exactly cons, as the company makes contonuous efforts towards all the below points. These are suggestions that would have made my experience a 5/5. Hiring: Employees are sometimes placed (from the beggining) in teams/projects based on the company's needs, regardless of their preferences in technologies/roles, with the promise of a later re-assignment to a team/project closer to their interests. Role expectations and performance review process: - Modernisation efforts by HR not always taken seriously by management - No goal/OKR setting at the beggining of each cycle - No baseline expectations set per role and level => no objective measure of employee's performance come evaluation day - No meaningful, constructive, perfomance and compensation conversations between management and employees - Hard to calibrate performance Unattainable training opportunities: Role-related duties leave little time for employees to join the various instructor-led (role-related and not) trainings, especially for employees who do not work at the HQs. Culture: - The company hires entry-level employees (which is awesome) but does not prioritise training them with regards to soft skills. Nevetheless, managers seem to expect employees to have said skills on their own (visible disconnect with HR). - Management (and especially upper management) is not diverse.
