Flexible schedules, constant work, fast paced environment. Always had up to date hardware and software to use.

Cafeteria choices were limited to vending machines. But it's all different now as most positions are not on location.

The Journal Star has a very talented staff and good visual culture. The position allows for wonderful learning and experimentation opportunities.

The downside for interns is the fact that the schedule is almost always night shift and weekends. Sometimes this limits the variety of shoots, but for the most part doesn't hinder the experience.
