Pros

Back when we were in the office, the environment was great and the facilities team amazing - even if a little bit far from London! Pay is good in line with the market. KFC made a lot of efforts to keep people engaged during lockdown. There is a lot of great people working for this company and the overall atmosphere is super friendly - at least on the surface.

Cons

Probably one of the messiest environment i have worked in. Senior management is incapable of organizing things and covers it up with “friendly culture”. Beware though that people sucking up to senior leaders will constantly get recognized and promoted while the people getting the work done will be ignored or stabbed in the back. Things look friendly but are actually deeply unfair and based on favoritism over competence. If you do not want to play politics, it’s a cut throat environment and you will regularly hear about people “leaving” the business.

Pros

Working at KFC has several advantages. One major benefit is the flexible scheduling, which makes it a good option for students or people with other jobs. The position is also entry-level friendly, meaning employees typically do not need prior experience to get hired. In addition, the fast-paced environment can make shifts feel shorter and more engaging. Many employees also enjoy the team atmosphere and develop friendships with their coworkers. Another advantage is the availability of employee discounts or free food during shifts, as well as the potential for advancement into shift leader or management roles.

Cons

However, there are also some disadvantages to working at KFC. The pay is often relatively low, usually close to minimum wage. The job can be physically demanding, requiring employees to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and perform tasks such as lifting and cleaning. The work environment can also be messy due to grease and food preparation. Additionally, the job can be stressful during busy hours, especially when dealing with long lines or high customer demand. Employees may also have to handle difficult or impatient customers, which can be challenging. Finally, work schedules may be inconsistent, with hours varying from week to week.
