Pros
The students and faculty make it tolerable. Benefits are good.
Cons
It is a very top heavy organization. Some people are elevated into roles while others must degrade themselves by going through an interview process. Nepotism runs deep within the organization. There are directors placed into positions when they aren’t equipped to lead. The compensation is abysmal and there is now talk of reducing or taking away the tuition waiver. You can have an outstanding employee review but receive the minimum pay increase as cost of living, however healthcare benefits increase. Higher Education all around is struggling. People live in fear of losing their livelihoods. I used to love to come into work everyday excited but the atmosphere is extremely toxic and it doesn’t look like it will be getting any better.
