A great job, but beware - Police Officer III LAPD Employee Review

This is an organization that has chewed up and spit out a lot of people. It is on one hand a very professional organization, with high standards for its officers, and that's fine. On the other hand, it is run by management that operates based on the mind over matter principle. As in "we don't mind, because you don't matter." The lack of standards for how management behaves with in their dealings with officers is an issue that comes up frequently. The union helps, but conflict still occurs. This adds to a naturally stressful work situation.
