Pros

- Beautiful office - Dog friendly office - Young workplace and very casual - Lots of engaging social activities

Cons

- This position will be marketed as "analyst" but in reality it's data entry. I was stuck doing 10 hours of data entry every day. - 60 hour work weeks. You are required to work 50 hours a week at minimum. Most people work 60. Even if you don't have any work, you are required to be there. You have to make up the time if you go for a doctor's appt. - Underpaid for how many hours worked - Some managers are chill and good at managing, others are micromanagers (even if you don't report to them). I was sat down for "taking too many phone calls" during a family emergency. - Not given additional work even if asked because other people are too busy to train you - Certain projects are lead by managers or seniors and if they don't like you, they won't put you on them - They first say you can work hybrid but then will not let you because "it's a hassle." I was involved in a car accident and did not have a car for 2 weeks and they told me to "find a way" to get to work because they didn't want me to work remotely for those two weeks. - The work is mind-numbing. I felt so dead and empty after each day and because I worked so many hours, I had no energy to do anything after work or on weekends. Work took over my life.

Pros

Rewards those who work hard and take initiative in solving problems. Because of this, you’ll find yourself surrounded by high achievers, which is motivating. As the firm has grown, management has been intentional about creating a culture and processes that genuinely support employees. A fantastic place to start a career if you're improvement-focused and driven by growth. You'll be expected to push yourself, learn quickly, solve complex problems, and take on new responsibilities at an accelerated pace. The industry niche LPA operates in is unique and rapidly expanding, placing the firm at the cutting edge of an exciting sector. There are valuable opportunities to interface directly with high-profile clients and contribute to new product development—both of which present opportunities for professional growth. People are kind, supportive, and invested in your success, provided you’re willing to put in the effort. Management has done a great job of making this mindset a core part of the company culture. Overall, LP Analyst is an excellent place for those who thrive in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and want to develop alongside a growing firm in an expanding industry.

Pros

-Leadership will preach a meritocratic culture, and that is true in practice. For the right person (ambitious, wants to make an impact), there is plenty of opportunity to progress and earn new responsibilities quickly -Valuable exposure to private markets as a function of the caliber of investors the firm works with. Truly global client base consisting of some of the largest, most respected LPs in the space. Team members can earn direct access to clients fairly quickly, as well Thorough training and skill development for new employees; analysts will develop a strong technical skill set and industry expertise fairly quickly -Firm is forward thinking and constantly seeking to elevate its processes and services; plenty of opportunity for junior team members to contribute to idea generation and innovation -Fast paced work environment with high expectation, but have a very supportive and friendly team

Cons

-There are typical growing pains associated with fast growing businesses (I.e, lots to juggle at times, changing priorities) but those things continue to improve over time and are generally manageable for most people
