Pros

Make great likeminded work-friends, occasional meal perks and small bonuses. Remote work, flexible hours and unlimited days off.

Cons

Job insecurity, high turnover at the marketing department, no trust in your abilities, little to no opportunities to grow and advance, leadership needs to get organized. There is favoritism among certain staff who can hop around in job positions endlessly while others are hanging on to their life, hoping they don't get fired tomorrow.

Pros

Muslim Environment, value aligned. great co-workers

Cons

Executive leadership is disorganized and frequently unprofessional, creating a chaotic work environment. Compensation is well below market, seemingly justified by an assumption that Muslim employees will accept lower pay in exchange for working at a mission-driven organization. Work hours are long, often exceeding nine hours per day. Although the company advertises flexible PTO, requests are closely scrutinized and frequently denied, with PTO effectively unavailable for the month leading up to Ramadan and during Ramadan itself—despite this being one of the busiest periods. There is significant turnover within the Shura (senior leadership), largely attributable to ineffective executive leadership. Leadership just want people to agree with them. Anything outside of this will result in bad performance ratings. There is a lot of religious abuse. We make duaa before and after meetings but spend the whole meeting talking poorly of others.
