Pros

I have really felt at home with Lendio. The culture is amazing and the people I work with are top notch. One of the greatest aspects of Lendio is the active engagement that leadership has in the work and life of their employees. There have been personal development opportunities that I was not aware of that my manager approached me about and invited me to pursue. These opportunities have been amazing blessings in my life. There is a welcoming culture at Lendio, one that doesn't ask you to fit in a box. You can be who you are and you can find other people that have similar interests as you. I have found many friends among the ranks of Lendio employees because of this culture. There is also a spirit of comradery and team spirit. If you aren't aware of the governments COVID-19 relief fund for small businesses (Paycheck Protection Program/PPP) it was a crazy time. It was stressful for the small business owners applying for the loan, as well as the lenders and businesses processing the loan. Lendio decided that we would go in all to help make this process easier for the small business owner. This introduced a very interesting 1 year plus in working with the PPP. It required us to be very flexible with the continuous changes to the program, and also move away from the more intimate relationships we had build with borrowers. There were just so many businesses that applied that every effort was made to streamline the process. It was a stressful and tiring time. However, because of that comradery and team spirit it was much easier to keep your head up. Everyone, from the Brock (our CEO) to the most seemingly basic job, was in this together. Every department was in this together. We celebrated in our success and commiserated in our failures or shortcomings. Lendio is a great place to work.

Cons

Lendio grew a lot throughout the PPP period. This has kind of given it the feeling of a kid who's body grew faster than they were able to keep up with. There are a few elements of Lendio that are held back by the way we did things before we increased in size. There are improvements being made, but it will take time. The ability to find answers to product questions and/or processes leaves one wanting. I hope that this can improve in the future.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate your candor and all the hard work that you put in during the last year plus while we were in the throws of PPP. Our entire team deserves a standing ovation. Thank you for your role in helping us deliver over 225,000 Small Business Administration PPP loans resulting in over $10 Billion in funding and literally saving hundreds of thousands of jobs. The future looks incredibly bright for our team.

Pros

The office is nice, there are some good people (not in management) and the food is nice

Cons

Where do we start?? Leads are sent to friends of managers, brown nosers and yes men first, the rest are sent out to the peasants. Favoritism runs rampant, rewards, shout outs and trips are given to the same people over and over, not due to performance but because they're hand fed goldend opportunities, I personally saw a top performer close 5 deals without ever speaking to the customer, just let the deal be tee'd up and then coasting while dinking around the office acting like he rules the kingdom. Managers are shallow, money hungry liars who care more about their appearance and stock holders than the people, like they used to. CANNOT recommend staying away enough!!

Thank you for the time you gave to Lendio and for leaving this feedback — even when it's hard to hear, it's important that we do. Fairness on the sales floor — how leads are distributed, how wins are recognized, and how managers show up for their teams — are things we take seriously. The nostalgia in your advice isn't lost on us. A culture where new reps get celebrated, coaching is genuine, and people feel like they belong is something worth fighting to keep. We're not interested in defending the gaps — we're interested in closing them. If you'd be willing to share more about your experience, we'd welcome that conversation.
