Pros

Previously, Lendio was a joy to work at. The company succeeded in hiring wonderful and qualified individuals that led to a great culture. The vision was easy to buy into and the overall vibe was eager and passionate. Team members are quick to collaborate and offer assistance.

Cons

After 13 months and three separate large waves of layoffs and a number of silent layoffs throughout, the morale has deteriorated, and the overall direction feels frantic. Sprints and goals feel haphazardly assembled, products are released, and if they don't deliver the golden egg within a few weeks or months they are shelved and forgotten. Lendio takes pride in raising their employees up to new heights through internal promotions. However, this has led to a large number of unqualified people in places of power. There is an overabundance of middle management, and it baffles me that there was very little reduction to their numbers in the each of the three waves of layoffs. Which leads me to believe that it is the boys club and culture that is the sole reason that these individuals remain employed. Especially since Lendio has nearly reduced by 50% in total employees in the last 18 months and middle management feels untouched. A lot of leadership decisions are emotionally driven, and progress is stunted by opinions cast by leaders.

Communication, opportunity, above avg pay

Cons

Hold on to some individuals too long. Reactive, not proactive.

Pros

The office is nice, there are some good people (not in management) and the food is nice

Cons

Where do we start?? Leads are sent to friends of managers, brown nosers and yes men first, the rest are sent out to the peasants. Favoritism runs rampant, rewards, shout outs and trips are given to the same people over and over, not due to performance but because they're hand fed goldend opportunities, I personally saw a top performer close 5 deals without ever speaking to the customer, just let the deal be tee'd up and then coasting while dinking around the office acting like he rules the kingdom. Managers are shallow, money hungry liars who care more about their appearance and stock holders than the people, like they used to. CANNOT recommend staying away enough!!

Thank you for the time you gave to Lendio and for leaving this feedback — even when it's hard to hear, it's important that we do. Fairness on the sales floor — how leads are distributed, how wins are recognized, and how managers show up for their teams — are things we take seriously. The nostalgia in your advice isn't lost on us. A culture where new reps get celebrated, coaching is genuine, and people feel like they belong is something worth fighting to keep. We're not interested in defending the gaps — we're interested in closing them. If you'd be willing to share more about your experience, we'd welcome that conversation.
