Very Bad - Employee Liman Video Rental Employee Review

Great learning/hands-on experience with equipment and clients. Small staff creates a great work dynamic as everyone is on the same page and communicates well with each other. With Covid-19 now in the picture, LVR has decreased to smaller staff and taking all needed safety precautions (taking temperature, wearing masks, social distancing, etc.) About every 2 months the owner buys all employees lunch and we vibe (very nice, and not something that all bosses do). Location is prime in Midtown Manhattan, very easy to commute in and out of work.

Be prepared to work, if you're looking for an easy job, this is not for you. When we get swamped, we get swamped, so everyone must be on their A-game.

At LVR you can learn a lot about the equipment, It’s is also a great gateway into the filming business. You can start from the ground up working & learning about the equipment.

I believe that they are racist & cheap, I only worked for the Company Four weeks. But I quickly noticed a few things that made me uncomfortable. I was Hired at LVR to be a driver but was trained to clean up the office & take out the trash. I didn’t mind it at first because I figured that it would be a team effort, but then I noticed that nobody else was doing it. After two weeks of working with them they Hired another driver & I noticed that they didn’t train him to clean up the office. But of course he wasn’t black. I still tried to stick it out with the company because I’m not a Quitter & I did make a few new friends on the job. But the last straw was me be called in the office & being Accused of stealing a phone charger. That made me Extremely Uncomfortable. A few hours later the phone charger was found by another employee & I had to ask the manager to apologize to me for accusing me of taking that charger. After that I went home & Discussed it with my family & Decided to quit the job....
