Stodgy, old and slow to implement change. They didn't even have company email until somewhere around 2006, and were still sending out paper company memos to your mailbox when I left in 2013. Emails would have been instant and saved paper. Management was out of touch and not technically inclined, but more task masters. During the recession of 2008-2009, when Linear was forced to reduce its workforce, it was sad to see technically superior engineers be let go instead of others due to purely personal favorites and political reasons.
