Pros

Colleagues are generally really lovely people with a good attitudes Remuneration and benefits are decent Company cares about benchmarking

Cons

Management is generally awful, anyone who cares doesn't have any power and those with power couldn't care less about their staff - even when legally required. They only care about furthering their careers. Complained about managers and they were defended by the business. Eventually business admitted wrongdoing but nothing has happened to the relevant people. Complete lack of regard for safeguarding or their legal responsibility for staff. Used to work early mornings and late nights with no senior support. My role felt unsupported in general - a lack of hierarchy means nobody takes accountability for management issues. It ends up getting placed back on the employee. Super inflexible with working arrangements. Asked to move teams and was only offered positions 10k below my salary, with more responsibilities. Barely any diversity in employees. Culture is very old school and certain higher ups are misogynistic. It feels extremely ironic when the business places so much importance on values.

Pros

In certain departments you aren't micro managed - a relief from some of the management who will criticise you for breathing incorrectly. Some departments offer flexibility without feeling like you are asking for a miracle (popping to the doctors, emergency dentist - normal life stuff)

Cons

Barely any benefits - no cycle to work scheme, poor pension, no private health care discount. No bonus. No annual pay rises unless you beg. No canteen for such a big company. Company split into various departments which leave some under old school management and living in the stone age - you can't wear certain coloured clothing, you can't dye your hair this colour, you can't listen to music or socialise (bums glued to seats, being socialble and laughing is loss of profits). No set development process in place - if your face fits great! If not, cut your losses early. Poor retention of staff - don't value you (you feel your easily replaced and anyone can do your job), some don't even ask why you want to move/leave! Training in some departments is extremely poor. Work on an account for a week or 2 and be expected to know everything about the client and dated linney built systems. Need a better training process in place and much more management support!! Management in general.
