Pros

- I learned a lot about the technologies used in their systems. - I worked with some great engineers - I learned a lot about "what not to do."

Cons

Listrak is a chaotic environment with toxic leadership. - They pressure their employees to give them good reviews. That is why you see the 5-stars and why they have the "Best Places to Work" thing. - The other reviews about toxic management are true. They are petty and try to tear you down instead of working with you to help you improve. They tell you they are always available to talk, but in reality that they only bully, intimidate, and lie. - This attitude seeps into the whole department and people are almost always unhappy. - No guidance, but also tie your hands. You will be micromanaged by people that have no idea how software engineering works. - Teams are forced to skip around to different projects, making it difficult to develop skills and write quality software. -They do not have a plan for feature development. - They do waterfall, but call it agile. - Their architecture and processes seem to intentionally slow you down and frustrate you. - The company is very right-wing. Your work here will directly support far right-wing messaging. (I am not sure if I am allowed to give exact examples.) - Do not trust their responses to Glassdoor reviews. They only know how to lie and manipulate.

Pros

There are some great people at Listrak. I worked with a number of smart, supportive coworkers and built genuine friendships.

Cons

Hybrid roles require being in-office 3 days a week. There is high turnover within sales, and the company has recently gone through several rounds of layoffs. These situations often lacked transparency, which led to negative morale and a toxic work culture. Growth opportunities within the SDR were extremely limited. There was no clear path for long-term advancement. There was a lack of women in leadership positions and a complete lack of diversity across the company. The SDR role was not a strong place to build a long-term SaaS career. Due to the limited growth opportunities and unclear advancement paths, many SDRs have moved on to external opportunities outside of the martech/ecommerce space entirely. There was a commission cap for SDRs, which was discouraging for high performers. Listrak has fallen behind its competitors in innovation, with a heavy focus on rebranding older technology rather than meaningfully advancing the platform itself. Over time, employee perks were gradually reduced. Food that was once provided for free in the cafe later became paid only, and eventually the cafeteria was shut down altogether. The large office building has become difficult to fully occupy, with several outside organizations leasing space within it. Finally, leadership invested in projects like the soccer field outside the building, which is not connected to the core business and does not provide meaningful value to employees.
