Pros

I love working for Literati! The company is very mission driven and is all about creating a lifelong love of literature and putting as many books into the hands of kids as possible. It is rewarding to know that the work I put in every day matters! The company believes in transparency by sharing numbers and metrics with the entire company once a month during all team meetings and also communicated weekly through emailed updates.

Cons

The company faces the natural challenges of being a smaller organization in a space with a large, established competitor.

Pros

Remote work, flexible schedule, except when we're called for a Zoom meeting. The convenience of having a flexible schedule, eating on your desk while working, taking breaks anytime.

Cons

Policies and procedures were unclear, yet management expects one hundred percent compliance. Zoom meetings were a waste of time. Instead of being productive, we all just listen to sermons! Everyone's expected to go beyond and wear different hats at the same time. Multitasking is a must, and that is extremely stressful! The long hours were brutal! Even when we work from home, I feel extremely exhausted. After some time, you realize that what you're doing isn't what you signed up for and instantly regret accepting the job!
