Pros
Benifits packages and medical insurance is very good. The Memphis Lab on Shelby Dr. was rated as the worst plant in the entire 8 Billion Dollar company for employee satisfaction.
Cons
They keep things stirred up all the time, never just leave its employee's alone and let them work.
Everyone is helpful and understanding. We all contribute to each other’s successes and help each other out whenever necessary and possible. Tons of learning opportunities and exposure to new projects.
Cons
It’s definitely fast paced and a large volume of work. Sometimes that outweighs current bandwidth and resource capacity.
You get ok discounts and a 500 dollar certificate for glasses or sunglasses
Cons
Hours are few an far between, not much room for growth, have to take "online courses" every month, always at least one, one hour, conference video call, you can't do anything other than call lp if someone is stealing/can't ask for them back. You get in trouble if you have too many reports of theft on your shift, so people don't do a lot of reports, so they don't get written up, causing "missing" glasses when we audit the store and then everyone gets in trouble and we're accused of stealing. If you happen to be manning the store alone which is often, you can't go to the restroom and half to take your lunch break at the checkout counter. Higher ups expect you to make this job your #1 priority even if you have other obligations like a family emergency or health issues.
