Pros

Great mission, great people, and the forward-thinking, brilliant, good at his core CEO is there, you really feel connected to the mission. The platform is amazing and sells itself, to those in the educational systems that are onboard with AI.

Cons

Fast-growing company with some large growing pains that don't seem to be slowing down. Territory rearrangements, unrealistic quotas made up out of thin air, with no historical YoY data to base them on, and completely regional-specific. Like I said above, the product will sell itself if you are in the right state. If you are in an AI-hesitant region, you will have a completely different experience and thus will be treated as such. High performers with virtually no sales experience are being given a hot patch like a silver platter and you are expected to catch up, while being given next to no support, training, or sales playbook.

Thank you for sharing this so openly, and it's clear you care deeply about the mission and the product. The challenges you've described around ramp, quota-setting, and regional inconsistencies are real growing pains that deserve serious attention, and we appreciate you naming them so directly. Feedback like this is exactly what helps leadership prioritize the right investments in our sales infrastructure as we scale.

Pros

The EPD team is mostly full of incredible, smart, kind people who are an absolute joy to work with. The team knows how to have fun and when to get serious. The CTO and VP of engineering are genuinely good people who care about their employees and know what they are doing. Honestly almost every IC in other departments I've worked with are extremely collaborative and good at their jobs. Helping teachers in your day to day job feels incredible, and they genuinely love the product.

Cons

Executive leadership has a very hard time trusting people. Their is very little respect for the product team and product direction mostly comes top down and feedback is not really invited. The CEO and president can't align on anything and it leads to very inconsistent product direction, way too much micro management and a ton of frustration for EPD. Some of the strongest EPD employees have left, and I know more are planning to if things don't change drastically, and soon. Top leadership exhibits some sexist tendencies that go unchecked because he is unable to receive feedback. If you apply here ask about product direction and roadmap, all about ratio of PMs to engineers, I think the answers to those questions would be telling regarding if things have improved since the writing of this review.
