Pros
I’ve been with Malin going on four years and I can say there are a lot of good things going on. The leadership in the Parts department where I work is really working hard to change the culture. When I started it was one of every man for himself and god forbid you made a mistake. It was a very difficult environment to work in. Fast forward to today, my manager includes us in daily meetings where we all have a say, review department performance and talk about what we can make better. They have started a idea collection program where they ask for our suggestions to make things easier and better. We now have an continuous improvement department that is full of really helpful people. My coworkers and I really enjoy the direction we are going, it’s actually fun to come to work.
Cons
Other departments are not changing and it sometimes makes it difficult for them to understand why we do what we do.
