MapleTronics Computers Response
4yThank you for taking the time to provide a review of MapleTronics Computers. As I read your review I think it breaks into two different categories:
- Communication breakdowns
- Low pay
Breakdowns in communication can be very frustrating. We know there is room for improvement in this area. Some of the things we have done to help open avenues of communication are:
- Monthly All Staff meetings to share what's going on within the organization.
- Daily check-ins with direct supervisors to make sure messages get heard.
- Open door policy to talk to anyone within the organization about topics that matter
- Quarterly listening sessions with Teams to address areas of concern.
- Quarterly Pulse interviews with random Teammates to get a pulse of what's going on in the organization.
- Weekly Team meetings to discuss important Team matters.
- Quarterly previews to discuss next quarter individual goals.
We think that overcommunication of information helps to reduce the instances of communication breakdown.
Low pay is an area we are focusing to make sure wages are right set for each position. Last November we initiated a process for annual pay review with each Team Leader and their Team. This year we have put together a plan to review wages annually, review how the wage compares to industry standards. We have decided to use the Bureau of Labor Statistics and a report published from the St. Joe and Elkhart County Economic Development Commissions. We feel this gives us good data from which we can make decisions and provide a wage that is well above average.
Even with a wage review in place, there will be times where the position you are in doesn't allow you to earn the pay you would like to make.
