Pros

There is none to list

Cons

17 days of sick/personal/vacation maximum 6 holidays and you’re expected to work those days yet you get the holiday pay and the pay for the work you do that. I’m not a piece rate, I’m hourly. The benefits are terrible as I and everyone in field service at Optimum got moved over to them. The agreement between optimum and mastec is extremely strained especially on the mastec side. We were a union shop and they told us they would honor the contract and they did not only recognized the union and mastec from what I heard is holding up negotiations. Micromanagement forces supervisors to watch every move and have to call someone just to move to go to someone else to get equipment and so much else. Supervisors are miserable within less than 3 months with 1 giving 2 weeks notice without another job because of upper management.

Pros

Nothing at all. It's all listed in the cons.

Cons

We were sold off to them from Optimum. Quickly trying to become the worst company in America to work for. They took away our vacation. Our sick time. Our personal time. They took away holidays. Now they are saying that working a holiday is mandatory unless you asked it off 2 weeks before it (they gave notice of that less than a week before it). They monitor wherever you are, doing whatever, soon as that truck moves. You aren't allowed to backup. If you call in two times in a 90 day period, you're in trouble. If it gets to 8 times (the last call in continues it on) you're fired. They overwork you because they are "behind" and you're just expected to work later. We're expected to do more and for less. They even denied our merit raises saying they didn't believe in them. They don't care about your family and wanting to see them. To be able to spend time outside of work. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
