Great mission, feel good about work, overtime pay during audit, popcorn days, PTO is nice, holiday party, downtown location, Eco Pass, holidays off, benefits, LOTS of accounting experience if you are new to the industry, summertime is slow
Cons
Overworked, underpaid. Accounting managers can't answer simple questions and don't support staff. Turnover has been constant in the ten months I worked here, with all the senior, knowledgeable people leaving in the last six months. No one knows how processes should work and deadlines aren't met making relationships with other departments bad. Would get updates from controller saying everything was great, but every month something else was done wrong or missed or someone would quit. Could not use former accountants as resource even though they were still with the company because managers did not like them. Felt very uncomfortable talking to management because people would be punished for raising questions. If you are fresh out of school and can't find any other job, work here for a year. You will have recruiters calling your WORK DESK weekly trying to snag you for a better paying job. If you already have accounting experience, keep looking. This place won't promote you no matter how hard you work.
