QA Leadership is a Bottleneck: The QA function is currently constrained by leadership (Dhananjay) that lacks the professionalism, maturity, and leadership capability expected at this level. Decision-making is inconsistent, team confidence is low, and the overall environment suffers as a result. Favoritism Over Merit: There is a clear and visible shift away from merit-based recognition. Promotions, ratings, and opportunities appear influenced more by internal alignment and favoritism than by actual performance or contribution. This is highly demotivating for serious contributors. HR is Not an Effective Safeguard: HR tagged with QA team does not function as an independent or trustworthy escalation channel. Concerns raised are not handled with the level of neutrality or seriousness expected, leaving employees with limited options to address issues.

Employees are forced to sit for 9 hrs everday. No work from home options. VPN is required to do WFH, and they wont install vpn in laps unless its some emergency. So people not living in Chennai , maximum 2 days only they can sit in home else we have to take leave. If there are 5 Saturdays in a month, last Saturday of that month is working. IDK the concept. Working till 8pm is a normal thing here. Strict timing 10:15am to 5:15pm you should be in office. If youre late by even 1 min, we can do regularise the attendance but maximum 4 in a month. Basically like a school. I don't know about other teams, but for me and most of the team and there is not even proper daily meeting in which tasks are updated and requirements are properly given. Monthly we have to maintain 195 working hours. Compulsory timing is from 10.15am to 5.15 pm. If you're leaving office at 5.15pm its like doing a sin here. Even though rule is there...90% of the office sit till 7.30 to 8pm. Talking about leads and senior software developers.. most of them dont have the basic knowledge. People who are here for many years are leads. Many long term employees are leads for name sake and favouritism is at its peak here for long term employees. During appraisal meeting, team managers and leads are informed by HRs only to give A or above grade to 1 or maximum 2 members from team. Rest all of them will get B+ which means "meets expectations". Here there is concept of super50 every year where the top 50 performers willl go to some international trip and have fun. Every year atleast 30 people of them aree fixed. The top level people and many managers and all. They are always part of super 50. Why cant they super 10 or super 20 if 30 among them are always fixed?? And rest will be some guys who are here for like 4 5 years. If youre below 3 years experience in mindgate youre not even part of super50 even if you do hardwork. So hardwork doesn't pay off here. If you want to be recognised here...main thing is to show up 10hrs everday...give every small small updates to manager and work like a slave. Code base is very old. If new applications are being created...login logic and session logic and many others common things are taken from 2014 year written code and its still being used now without being upgraded.
