Pros

Amazing culture - your fellow coaches and instructors make you feel seen and valued, and so does my line manager (might be lucky on this one cause I know other coaches do not feel the same way). There is a great culture of helping one another, and the company really relies on everyone else to teach you the ways, which everyone seems genuinely happy to do. The pay is good and reflects the difficulty of the role in my opinion - however it is not sustainable (see Cons). Good perks overall and fantastic WFH policy.

Cons

The workload for coaches is too much - very surprised you don't get more burnouts or people going on sick leave because of that. You're expected to look after 130-140 learners FROM THE START right after onboarding, when you don't know anything about the role or processes. We are client-faced, we should be experts before being in front of learners in order to help and support as much as possible. I get questions every day that I don't have the answers to, and it feels embarrassing to say the least. Quantity over quality here and it feels like all the company cares about is the money and getting as many learners through as possible, without thinking about the wellbeing of your employees and the quality of the support learners are receiving. As a coach you are spinning too many plates which is not sustainable - you are responsible for keeping the learners in the programme too which feels very pushy - as a learner if I decide to leave, I shouldn't be begged by my coach to stay, and sometimes it does feel like this is what's expected of us.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I’m glad you’ve found a supportive community with your fellow coaches, a great line manager, and that you value our flexibility and approach to compensation However, reading about your workload and the pressure you’re feeling is really tough. Stepping out of onboarding into a client-facing role with a heavy caseload is a massive challenge. We don’t expect you to be an all-knowing expert from day one - let your manager know the questions you’re hearing, so we can support you with finding the answers To help with the plate-spinning, we’re hyper-focused on tech upgrades and automations (like Sidekick, our AI Copilot) to reduce manual admin and give our coaches time back, and we’ve just had our biggest quarters for coach hiring ever to expand capacity. In the meantime, please prioritise your health. All employees have access to Spill, our mental health platform, alongside our employee wellbeing benefits. I particularly want to address your point about feeling forced to "beg" learners to stay. That is absolutely not what we want. One of our core operating principles is to Solve for customer value. We put our customers first, meaning apprentices should only be on a programme because they and their employers are getting real value from it - not for our own sake. Please flag these specific retention pressures to management or leadership so we can address it. You mentioned staying for the money but considering leaving. I’d love the chance to change your mind. My door is always open if you want to talk. Paige - SVP People Talent

Pros

- great training and development / high standards - sellers can earn high 6 figures. There are multiple 7 figure earners at the top - executive team and leadership has a history of winning big - the people are highly skilled and talented, growth mindsets everywhere

Cons

- not really a con for me but it’s a competitive environment (everyone is eager to prove) - if you’re not ready to excel and work hard you could fall short of teammates who are

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts after three years as a Coach with us. It’s incredibly valuable to get feedback from someone who really knows our world. I’m so pleased that our flexibility and company values were such massive highlights for you. We’re growing fast, so ensuring the high-level strategy feels connected on the ground can be challenging, but this is an area we’re seen consistent improvement in our employee feedback surveys. We know the admin and quarterly reporting loops can feel heavy, which is why we're hyper-focused on using AI to automate those manual tasks and give our coaches their time back. I’m pleased to share pilots for this work are underway and already showing impact. All the best with what’s next. Paige - SVP People Talent
