Pros
- Some really talented colleagues to learn from. - Interesting & impactful engineering challenges to get stuck into. - Whilst there is lots of tech debt in the system, tackling it is actively encouraged, and part of the fun! - CTO has a clear vision that is well-communicated. Taking big swings to change things for the better. - Great product with a lot of potential. - Supportive management and engineering leadership (directors, CTO, etc). - Great pay.
Cons
- Benefits for UK employees are lacking, though will apparently improve soon. - No real DEI initiatives. Engineering teams not very diverse. Whilst I haven't felt excluded at all, ERGs would be a welcome addition. - Not really sure what the company values are, other than "enable omnichannel retail" and "make money". - I feel some colleagues who have been here longer than I are suffering from change fatigue due to previous organisational changes.
