Pros

- The people: bright, capable junior staff and individual contributors genuinely care about the work and each other - Strong, altruistic mission with over 20 years in the space - Small, scrappy teams means you are exposed to meaningful client work and the opportunity to make a big impact early in your career - Some teams are more data-driven and committed to experimentation and continuous improvement than others

Cons

- Leadership vacuum and volatility: Senior leadership frequently undermines the work of their own teams. There is a stark disconnect between executives and operational staff, especially in how projects are planned, communicated, and supported. Strategic expectations changes without explanation or follow-through. Flying by the seat of their pants and don't consider the consequences of their actions. Authoritarian, manic leadership from the senior leadership with no long term vision from the top. - Toxic work culture enabled at the top: Gossip, favoritism, and inconsistent enforcement of policies (like WFH and PTO) create a climate of mistrust. Certain leaders have displayed inappropriate behavior at company events, and HR has not and will not take accountability seriously. - Lack of psychological safety: Leadership has a track record of betraying private conversations, making disparaging remarks about colleagues, and fostering paranoia. Employees are often afraid to speak up for fear of being labeled “difficult” or “not a team player.” - Performative innovation: The company is publicly making bold claims about AI capabilities without fully delivering or validating internally. There are serious concerns about overpromising in client-facing narratives. Projects that are touted as AI successes are manually done by hand. - Undermining of GTM teams: Despite consistent growth and strategic execution, some teams are scapegoated for challenges beyond their control like product delivery. Leadership often fails to understand the data or acknowledge what’s actually driving results. Sales leadership in particular is ill equipped to lead - Broken trust: The organization is split between an “old guard” with unchecked authority and newer employees who are expected to overperform without support. This imbalance leads to constant turnover, burnout, and a brain drain of some of the most talented people. Unless you absolutely need a paycheck, I recommend you stay far away from this sinking ship.

Pros

The people here are the real differentiator. It's a talented, passionate group that shows up for each other and brings their best every day. There's a genuine culture of feedback and professional development that pushes you to grow continuously. You're never just a number. You can see your direct impact on the business and are given real autonomy and visibility to help shape and scale both the company and the product.

Cons

Small, scrappy startup energy isn't for everyone. Plans change and priorities shift, so if you need a lot of structure and predictability, it may not be the right fit. But if you want to see your work matter and be rewarded for it, that tradeoff is absolutely worth it.
