Work from Home Great immediate boss

Cons

Salaries are low compared to industry standards. This results in high turn over rate which leaves existing staff overworked and underpaid. CEO has issues with even small percentage raises with the lowest paid salaries (below $30,000) even though the industry standard is double to triple that. CEO hires people to run the departments but refuses to actually let them make decisions which causes trust issues and noticeable unhappiness throughout the company. Title system causes confusion when it comes to pay. They dislike that employees share their salaries with each other.

Thank you for your feedback. As a work from home company we are glad to see you enjoy this work environment and you feel your immediate boss is great. We want to address some of the points you have made in reference to the workload, titles, and salaries. As a company we strive to provide salaries in line with the level of work we require from team members that is also commensurate to their previous experience and education. We analyze country/local market salary data, team member qualifications, education/certification credentials, etc. to determine the salary ranges we are able to offer by country. Team members at multiple levels, including those that run departments, are involved in this analysis. After completing our recent analysis, we made some adjustments to address the change in roles. We are confident that we are paying each of our team members well commensurate to their abilities and experience. In addition to wages, we offer a suite of benefits in the U.S. which are either fully or partially Company subsidized including but not limited to 401k, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, etc.. In most companies, compensation is usually regarded as a private subject and employees do not share their personal pay data. Employers and employees alike understand that there are many factors that lead to someone’s rate of pay - years of experience, skill level, location, etc.. Hence, pay can vary between employees. As a best practice, we are also looking at our titling structure across the company and changes in some departments will be made. We hope this will address some of the concerns you raised. Pros

OnceHub is fully remote and profitable without VC funding. This allows for a great work/life balance for those who thrive on working from home . In addition, because OnceHub "marches to the beat of their own drum" it is clear from the outset that the founders are fully in charge of where they intend to take the company. The leadership in this company is very strong and they are clearly looking for smart people who can help them achieve their vision. Every person I have interacted with so far has been incredibly welcoming and generous while also demonstrating that they are extremely competent in their roles. Every interaction demonstrates that OnceHub's core values of humility, inclusivity and creating a meaningful journey for employees is built into their DNA. As other reviewers have pointed out, everyone in the company truly has a voice. The company creates a climate where you can learn from your mistakes as well as your successes, which is such an important aspect of career development.

Cons

A very fast paced environment which may be a con for some but to me this is just what is needed to keep me excited and engaged!
