Pros

Beer Friday, some great people, great location, decent benefits

Cons

Onvia is a churn and burn operation - nonstop turn-over throughout the organization, and more recently, with management. Onvia's answer to everything is to fire its staff and replace it with another poor soul that they've managed to seduce into believing business is good. It is not. Management is clueless or just plain unwilling or unable to address what is failing. Here's a clue - it is NOT the staff! Onvia's new platform is full of issues, and so is their business model/operating plan. Fierce competition is hurting Onvia who once had the luxury of being #1. The new platform has been disappointing - slow, tons of bugs and not user friendly, thus, customer service issues are sucking up employee resources. Account Managers are given a book of business and certain verticals/books are known to be bad. Rather than giving a thorough look, Onvia simply fires its Account Managers who cannot meet unrealistic goals in a short period of time, and then hires someone new who fails as well. New hires are always in training and ready to take over as a tenured employee is departing. Comp plans change constantly - count on a new one every month. Pressure is ridiculous. Vacations are granted and then threatened. Morale is horrible. Everyone works under a threat of being fired!
