Pros

Work from home and large salary

Cons

You're just a person/number, if you're in the field Optiv security partners would be astonished by what Optiv leadership says behind closed doors about their reseller partners. There is no partnership, and they are driving away a number of partners to further business. Optiv is actually trying to move away from their partner's products and focus mainly on services. Optiv believes the traditional VAR is dead. This company is desperate, as they didn't hit their numbers in 2017, so leadership is in real trouble, if they don't hit numbers again in 2018. C-Levels will not be with Optiv in 2019 if these numbers aren't achieved, plus for the first time in company history, quotas were reduced in hopes of actually hitting sales numbers. Uncompetitive versus other IT security service providers for assessments, etc. Smaller IT security resellers and service providers are more flexible to fit customer's needs. Over-scoping of projects is well known by customers. Really only focused on the large Fortune 1000 companies, so mid-enterprise/SMB companies are unable to pay the large service fees. Churn and burn from the Executive level. Over the past two years, there has been so much turnover at the executive & management level, and a lot of the old leadership has been forced out. This definitely has impacted culture and Glassdoor rating, as I believe it was a 4-star company when I joined. Low commission structure

Pros

Unlimited PTO Supportive Management Depending on who you get Good work life balance as long as you don't take the job with you after hours Work from Home Hands on Training - could still use improvement Annual pay increase

Cons

2 layoffs in a year when they keps saying everything was fine.... Laying off core contributors so now everyone who is left is doing the work of 2-3 people and not being compensated accordingly Only way to get a worth while pay increase is to move up in the company the annual increases are not inline with inflation or cost of living
