Pros

- Extremely talented designers, developers and employees in general - A real business with millions of users - Users love the product, and this makes the work rewarding - One of the only consumer-centric products based in New York - Pays well and offers good benefits

Cons

- Normal growing pains; communication and processes need updating as the company grows, but it seems like leadership actually cares about fixing them - Hiring a few senior managers, especially on the tech side, ruffled a few feathers (guessing this where some of negative reviews come from) but it was good for the company overall

Pros

You do get exposure to different problems fast.

Cons

The training barely helps, then you get judged hard when you struggle. When layoffs happened, it felt rushed and careless, like people were just numbers. Managers tend to talk down to you and pass blame instead of fixing problems. Upper management stays out of sight and only shows up to shut things down. Teams don't really work together, everyone stays in their own bubble and ignores the bigger picture. Bullying is brushed off like it is no big deal, even when it happens right in front of everyone. Growth is a mystery because no one explains roles, levels, or what comes next. HR is basically useless. If you complain about anything, you get shrugged at or told it's not their problem. People who cause issues are allowed to stick around, which drags everyone else down. Morale is so low, it's hard to care about doing good work when the environment is constantly draining. Communication is a complete nightmare. Decisions are made randomly, then dumped on your team with no context. You're expected to figure it out yourself while managers stay in their offices and act surprised when things go wrong. It feels like chaos is the only plan.
