Cons

This review is for PatSnap West. Potential employees: find former employees on LinkedIn (given the staggering turnover this won’t be hard) and have a 5-minute conversation. If you’re a woman or BIPOC you must do this. PatSnap is aggressive in getting negative reviews removed from GlassDoor so this is your path to legitimate information. Anyway, you’ll hear variations of: the organization is incredibly sexist and racist (multiple reviews mention this) firings are constant and arbitrary the CEO has absolutely no idea how to run a company To expand on the above, women not fired leave at a high rate due to the misogyny and lack of advancement. When I left there were 0 women in leadership positions in the West and very few in sales roles. Advice: If you’re a woman joining at a high level, negotiate an airtight and outstanding exit package on your way in. On your way out, consult an attorney before signing away your rights. The CEO: not much to say. Like most weak leaders he surrounds himself with mediocrity. PatSnap West has a middle management layer of men who ‘grew up’ with the company. They have no experience outside the organization so new ideas are perceived as threatening. Sales team in NA is doomed. Join only if you have no other option. EMEA sales team slightly better but still awful. Negotiate a high base salary. You’ll likely never see your commission as sales are too low. If you manage a miracle and hit target, you’ll probably be strategically fired in a way that means you’ll not be paid out.

Product, people , culture, spiffs, encouraging

Cons

They don’t spend enough money on the sales team. Laptop you receive is cheap and can effect your work especially during a zoom call with a client

Pros

Good people in UK, US and Canada who are trying their best, considering the lack of investment and micromanagement by CEO.

Cons

CEO wants to grow in US market, but at Chinese prices, which shows his lack of understanding and strategy. 100% of R&D in China, while rest of world decoupling from China. Company not able to keep top talent, many of CEO's leaders know he is not capable, but hang out for the paycheck.
