Pros

Philmont is the best, place in the world, if you like working in the mountains.

Cons

Current management is bipolar, so you never know what is going on and what direction we are moving, at any given day. One day you are the best employee and the next you are dead to them.

I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with Philmont's leadership in 2018. I can't speak to some of the previous leadership, but we've had some changeover in the past year and are actively looking to improve the experience for participants and staff alike. We hope you reconsider your thoughts towards Philmont and would think about spending a season with us again in the future!

Pros

Extremely rewarding. Get to meet a lot of scouts from around the USA

Cons

Worked hard. Typically 4 days on and 1 day off with and 8 hour shift here and there. But you get to live your life through this job to the fullest.
