Pros

Great benefits, decent pay, relaxed environment

Cons

Very high turnover in sales and administration departments. No CFO or HR staff. In development, CTO can be irrational hothead. Company is reliant totally on DoD contracts to survive. Unless they can reinvent themselves, they won't be able to sustain their current staffing levels and benefit levels.

Pros

I've been working as a developer at ProModel for many years. Actually, I started out as a part-time tester, but was encouraged to develop my programming skills until I was proficient enough to be hired as a full-time entry-level developer. I've only continued to learn and improve in that time. Many others have followed the same course. I've had my hand in many different application areas and technologies. ProModel tries to stay on the cutting edge of technology (though we do maintain some older software products). The CTO is very passionate, capable, and hard-working. Despite what some other reviewers have said, I have only seen the CTO care deeply about his colleagues and go to bat for many of them. The benefits and compensation here are simply astounding. We develop of variety of software products, mostly around simulation and process improvement, that are complex, challenging, and very fun to work on. The company has gone through some significant changes over the years, but overall has maintained a mostly laid-back and fun culture. We work hard and play hard. Also, despite some of the previous reviews, the company does value diversity and has employees from a wide variety of ethnicities, backgrounds, and disciplines.

Cons

No company is perfect and as time has gone on, I've seen more of the politics that can occasionally create some difficulties, but I honestly have a hard time imagining things being better at any other company.
