Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry you feel it was a bad experience.
Current (and returning) staff are enjoying the many benefits of working for a smaller company such as "Summer hours" - where people from each department rotate taking Fridays off. This policy was implemented by our owner so staffers could spend quality time with their families or use the time to take better care of themselves. These days are paid, do not affect PTO and, essentially, come from the bottom line.
Additionally, staffers are encouraged to recognize fellow employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are pulled bi-weekly for a chance to win rewards- such as gift cards and cash.
Is there more? Why yes! There is a generous supply of food, monthly luncheons, monthly visits from Schwans, an onsite hair dresser and on occasion, a masseuse. During inclement weather or on kids' days off, staffers have the option of working from home if their job allows. Some days, kids are helping out around the office or playing with the exercise balls- provided by our owner.
Overworked? Perhaps at peek times. We are a busy and thriving company. We are also often reminded how important, valuable and appreciated we are- not just in words, but in actions as stated above.
