Worst Workplace I've Ever Seen!!!

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

This is absolutely the worst place I've ever worked. People are fired on a whim all the time and no-one who is fired gets severance or unused vacation paid to them. People are grossly underpaid and there is no regular review cycle. You might get lucky enough to get a raise if the owner likes you that day but beware, you might be fired a month later when she decides you're making too much. Company is understaffed so employees are overworked and on edge about being the next to be fired. Ask yourself why there are only one star and five star ratings for this company. Don't most companies on Glassdoor with over 10 ratings have some ratings in-between one and give stars. All five star ratings are plants to get the overall company rating up. If you choose to believe the five star ratings, you'll find out I was right.

Pros

Friendly co-workers. The office itself is very nice. Casual dress attire. Managers generally care about you. Empty parking lot is nice.

Cons

All the positive reviews of this company are planted. Company is very poorly managed and understaffed. People get fired regularly and it's hard to work under the stress knowing that you're probably next. No chance in career advancement and very low pay.

Pros

Some very good people work there. Pretty office. Supply food and coffee.

Cons

Owner fires people for entertainment. She has no value on human life. Very stressful environment. 39 people fired in 2013. Close to that or more in 2014. Commits fraud as a regular practice. Employees are overworked and underpaid. Owner smokes in her office. Owner gossips about employees to other employees. Employer promotes drinking and buys alcohol for lunch during business hours. Very unstable place to work. No training. No support. Hire in and leave people to sink or swim. When you arrive at work you never know who will still be there.

Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry you feel it was a bad experience. Current (and returning) staff are enjoying the many benefits of working for a smaller company such as "Summer hours" - where people from each department rotate taking Fridays off. This policy was implemented by our owner so staffers could spend quality time with their families or use the time to take better care of themselves. These days are paid, do not affect PTO and, essentially, come from the bottom line. Additionally, staffers are encouraged to recognize fellow employees for going above and beyond. Nominations are pulled bi-weekly for a chance to win rewards- such as gift cards and cash. Is there more? Why yes! There is a generous supply of food, monthly luncheons, monthly visits from Schwans, an onsite hair dresser and on occasion, a masseuse. During inclement weather or on kids' days off, staffers have the option of working from home if their job allows. Some days, kids are helping out around the office or playing with the exercise balls- provided by our owner. Overworked? Perhaps at peek times. We are a busy and thriving company. We are also often reminded how important, valuable and appreciated we are- not just in words, but in actions as stated above.
