Pros

Great apprenticeship offering for clients. Good team and good operational support.

Cons

Large percentage of managers are share holders and it causes a divide in business. All QA care about is growth growth and more growth at any cost and this is driving by the shareholder contingent in the business. They don't care about how hard you work and the effects it can have on your health and well being. It's all about the bottom line and if your face fits. If you challenge this you will be managed out (seen it plenty of times).

Hi - it's sad to hear that you felt disappointed by your last few months in the business particularly given that you feel our client offering is strong and that the teams and operational parts of the business are working well. It is also frustrating to think that you may have been demotivated by the shareholder scheme - one of the key reasons it was introduced was to motivate - so if it has done the opposite then this is not good. I want to address some of the points you make to clarify the scheme and its intentions. - 320 members of staff are shareholders in our business. Not all of these people are managers. - Any member of staff can be invited in to the scheme if nominated by a manager in the business. These nominations are then reviewed by our CEO at multiple points throughout the year. - The business does care about growth - but this is something we encourage staff to be really proud of - we work for a business that is growing and is able to invest back into that business to deliver more education to more learners every year. We have been using that growth to massively invest in the business over the last 12 months - new office space, new digital product offerings, new staff incentive schemes. Our growth has enabled that to happen. - Growth at the expense of employee satisfaction is not good - but we are not seeing that trend across the business - We put a lot of focus on our internal staff surveys to make sure we are regularly monitoring the impact of change and growth on staff happiness. Our latest results show that overall staff satisfaction remains high. Now, I appreciate that clearly you were not happy or you would not have written this review, but I make the point to reassure you that staff unhappiness isn't a systemic issue. Now, we dont want systemic dissatisfaction or isolated examples of staff dissatisfaction - so I thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Our People Team are in place to ensure that all staff feel they have someone to speak to if they are unhappy and I know they would be really grateful to hear from you directly as well so we are able to uncover some more of the specifics around your unhappiness so that we might fix it for other staff in the future. You can contact them on peopleteam@qa.com or contact me directly on mary.sansom@qa.com

Pros

The skills platform developed by the former Cloud Academy team was innovative and well-received by customers.

Cons

Since my voluntary departure, the company has proven to be unreliable and somewhat cagey. Under the terms of their articles of association and ISD, they had 12 months to repurchase my preferred shares. Nearly 18 months have passed, and they refuse to repurchase my shares or communicate any reasons for the delay. One might conclude that they are dealing with financial difficulties.
