Pros
If I could design a perfect company that did data intelligence, it would be Quantexa. Rather than usual spiel, here is the real Q: - CEO is a tech founder and family man and you can feel the love for his company. He is respectfully tenacious. - CEO and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) dressed up better than most employees in full fancy dress costumes for the EMEA xmas party. - SLT grew the company £2bn+ in 10 years which makes me wish I joined sooner! - CTO is someone you can actually talk to and discuss ideas with despite a packed schedule. Better still, he DJ's at the après bars on the annual Q ski trip! - The other founders and SLT I interacted with were always very knowledgeable and respectful. - Flexibility is very high, with common sense work management. - Current offices are WeWork + perks, and the new one will likely be one of the best offices in London! - All the staff I met were friendly, intelligent yet humble. I didn't see any corporate greasy pole nonsense, and the people ops system promote value it seems. They also promote international opportunities and you can currently work from anywhere for 60 days with approval. - It's one of the few things we have that is actually British and I hope it goes far for Q and the UK sovereignty. I only left due to exceptional personal circumstances currently forcing me elsewhere, but I would love to have been able to stay, and one day I'd love to go back!
Cons
- Main product UI is a bit corporate and banking feeling (white and blue theme). - Need more resource to build product capability for other sectors ahead of time. - Work diversity can be repetitive / limited around the product capabilities - but this applies to most product organisations, - A worryingly short notice period over a long probation for new hires.
