Pros

Overall this is a wonderful place to work. There is a true sense of a team and everyone has each other's best interest in mind on a site level. Work is demanding but challenging. Its nice to work without a mananager hovering over you but thats part of the nature of wind. Pay is great. Vacation and benefits are the best I've ever had. Towers heated in winter. Company is pretty good about getting you safety equipment and tools if you need them. Site level management usually has your back.

Cons

No bonus for hourly employees usually but salary does if thats what you are after. No company truck for most positions. IT is nothing short of a nightmare. No lifts in towers but climb assists are usually decent. Poor communication between site level management and upper level management.

Hi and thanks a lot for your open feedback, which we really appreciate! I especially like the part about the demanding work and the team-spirit. Also the benefits seem to fit :-) - I actually feel the same, even though being located in Germany. Stay safe and take care, Regina, career-team

Pros

The actual day-to-day team is amazing. It’s full of high-performing renewable energy experts who genuinely care about the mission.

Cons

Honestly? Save yourself the heartbreak and stay away. Since October, they have completely gutted the culture. It went from a mission-driven renewable energy company to a hyper-political club defined by favoritism read GOP politics. Behind the scenes: They used a fake "restructuring" to do quiet layoffs. They shrunk our teams and forced people to reapply for jobs in different cities. They knew people with families and mortgages couldn't just uproot their lives, so it was a calculated move to force 40+ people to quit so they wouldn't have to pay severance. Then they went ahead and hired their own people that weren't even in the cities they had advertised the jobs in. Insane Double Standards: They told us our local offices were "non-essential" to justify pushing us out, but then they immediately turned around and hired leadership that don't live near regional offices. So, they just fly in whenever they feel like it while mandating strict office attendance for everyone else. Management in a nutshell: They started pushing out 20-year renewable energy veterans and replacing them with their old corporate buddies from Chevron and people from the GOP sector. They don't care if you actually know anything about renewable energy anymore; they only care if your political and personal background matches their new agenda. One of the lowest points from this year: When they made us reapply for our jobs, they actually asked people about their personal relationship status to judge if they were "viable" for the team's new direction. They announced this whole restructure on the first hour of a team offsite. It was incredibly toxic. Total Leadership Vacuum: There is zero empathy or real communication here. Leadership doesn't interact with our team. They literally send Copilot AI summaries instead of actually managing or talking to human beings. HR has been completely useless—ignoring emails for over six months and failing to give anyone clear answers about their benefits or transition.
