Pros
Railinc leverages numerous technologies that most small companies would never be able to put their hands on. This has allowed me to build a broad base of skills. The teams are small and typically staffed with high performing IT staff that can manage multiple aspects of IT in contrast to being stuck in a single IT vertical. The work changes daily and frequently which helps keep the IT boredom at bay.
Cons
Railinc is part of an industry that is slow to change and driven by committees. Internal change is much simpler to drive than external change, but if your ideal job is to drive rapid fast pace changes in an industry, Railinc is probably not the best fit. Railinc is a meeting heavy company.
