Pros
A friendly environment with a lot of social events and good engagement from employees. Nice open office, with by and large a good community feel. On the face of it the culture is strong. Pay is generally fair(ish) and in cash (rare for the industry). Supposedly a flat hierarchy.
Cons
Rife with politics and lots of disgruntled people. The partnership structure is incredibly opaque and effectively used to line the pockets of people who have been in place for a long time. A meritocracy this is not. This means that people who seem to be doing the same job/level of output can be paid fractions of "senior" people. Is basically run by sales and traders with a heavy focus on KPIs/ meeting metrics which don't necessarily have anything to do with quality of output. Has become very political so if you say the right things and shout the loudest you will probably reap the rewards. A lot of younger talent (30 somethings) has left in the last 2 years. Management are struggling with a top heavy structure and havent worked out that people are using the company as a stepping stone now...it should be a serious concern that such a large number of talented younger members of the business have moved on (although not to the competition).
