- IC level folks are smart, dedicated, and driven - Company is in a stage of growth - Lots to do means lots of opportunities to define what's next - Fully remote is nice

- 10% unregretted attrition goal means very high turnover - Incompetent middle management is resistant to feedback and unable to clarify expectations - Goals shift constantly for both projects and individuals - Its crunch time all the time - Engineering performance is measured by PR count and how many late nights they put in
