Pros

The people are truly awesome to work with. From the leadership to the individual contributors, lots of great personalities and attitudes. When there are company events (few and far between nowadays) it is easy to make great personal connections. Strict “no jerks” hiring policy has worked pretty well.

Cons

NOT A STARTUP. They have taken away everything that makes a startup a startup. Hardly any free lunches, dinners, parties, snacks, or joy to be found nowadays. The only startup thing left is the low salaries, poor work life balance, risk of failure, and lack of experience from the leadership. There are constant (every 3 months), MASSIVE reorganizations; being in management is super cut throat. They are very good at promoting internally, but only because people keep getting the boot and they don’t pay enough to get proven leaders from elsewhere to accept the offers. If you want to be an engineer and get really good technically, this is not the spot for you- you will learn what you can out of desperation, but you won’t go far or be rewarded. If you want a crash course in politics and nepotism, get on board.

Pros

The prop test team at Stennis is awesome. The people are super cool, and the work is engaging. There's a nice balance of hands on work and technical design work.

Cons

Don't work here if you never want to put in a day longer than 8 hours, but in reality though the job is fun enough that you probably won't mind the extra time.

Pros

Amazing benefits & on-site amenities. Generous PTO, Sick and holiday schedule. Great place to learn and get foot in the door of aerospace. Great hub for young talent industry wide you are given a lot of autonomy of your work day.

Cons

Toxic leadership & senior management. Promotions and raises are not determined by merit, the company allows nepotism which is rampant in every aspect of the company. Would much rather turn a blind eye than address long term issues with a toxic work environment. The minute you stop being a yes man and start challenging the status quo in the name of efficiency, you are targeted by leadership and subsequently pushed out one way or another. You'll be fine if you are personal friends of management.
