Sales-driven promises result in chaotic development schedules, with no room for product or professional growth - Anonymous employee Reliance Network Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility with requested time off, allowing for nice work-life balance. A good number of solid people work there, but are stunted by current leadership.

Cons

Because of the aggressive promises made to potential clients, the development team is never afforded the opportunity to: A) Update the outdated back end of the product, which is still currently built primarily in Classic ASP B) Build full A-Z solutions, as the product enhancements are cut down to size because of short (arbitrary) timelines forced upon the developers without their input C) Perform proper testing to ensure releases do not break tools unrelated to the release D) Write up documentation for any new/modified features, making it virtually impossible for any new employee to know what features exist in the product The lack of documentation for any of the product makes it so the company heavily relies on tribal knowledge of long time employees, which are becoming few and far between with the recent exodus of the long time employees over the last year. The management style and chosen leadership created such a hostile environment that many quality employees began to jump ship. The hiring of (and promoting) of unqualified leaders also clearly demonstrated the lack of professional growth available to those working there.

Pros

There are a LOT; work from home, flexible with hours, incredibly understanding and caring about family health concerns, great benefits for a company of their size, and friendly/fun coworkers, to name a few specifics.

Cons

It is a fast paced industry, with lots of challenges. Constantly evolving products and working with emerging technology can make it feel like you are never "knowledgable enough", which could also be considered a Pro, as it pushes you to keep learning and growing as well.

Pros

Company Culture Management is ethical, has integrity and inspires and supports employees to be successful. I've found management open to employees' ideas, granting responsibility and ownership for implementing these ideas. This entrepreneurial culture (emerging after two companies joined) inspires innovation in all areas of the company and fosters participation in the success of the company. Ethical Management Team They truly care about employees and clients and put ethics above profit Work/Life Balance Flexibility to work remotely Respect for employees Interesting Work Staying relevant with changing technology means I'm always learning and sharpening skills Teamwork I've seen employees go the extra mile to support their peers and act as a team for the success of clients and the company Benefits They have an excellent package for covering the employee's health benefits

Cons

This is really a Pro but can be seen as a Con - putting clients before profit. The company bends over backwards for clients. I have not seen anywhere else but at Reliance Network the high level of client support and investment in innovation to develop software features to meet clients' needs and requests.
