Pros

There is a set schedule

Cons

Lack of upward mobility, lack of clear directive, lack of project management oversight, nepotism in management. Clear lack of understanding how to run a business. Lack of understanding of scientific process on the part of management which leads to highly unrealistic expectations for project completion. All technicians are put on way too many projects at once and the work suffers. Projects also change frequently and there is lack of ability to realize goals and achieve here. High turnover on all levels, chronically understaffed. Facility is inadequate for expected work output and project demands.

Pros

Rinati is an excellent starting point for your industry career, especially if you have a passion for plant science and molecular biology. As my first industry job in the USA, I initially worried about the work culture, but Rinati turned out to be less stressful and more engaging. The R&D team, in particular, was fantastic to work with. I expanded my knowledge in analytical tools, data analysis, and instrument handling, even learning new things beyond my research expertise. The company has a diverse group of talented minds from various research areas, providing a broader perspective on ongoing projects. Regular weekly research discussions with team members and 1:1 meetings with the Head of R&D positively influenced project progress and helped find solutions to challenges. Higher authorities consistently appreciate good work, and there's a collective celebration of personal and company success.

Cons

There are no cons that I can think of.
