Great initial call with hiring manager. However, after she referred me to their CFO, they insisted that I do a presentation during core working hours, and did not respect the fact I work full time. After trying to find a time that would work, I got ghosted.
Fairly straightforward interview process, consisted of a 15 minute power point presentation describing how ones previous work and academic experience could benefit the company and relate to the position you're interested in acquiring.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your short and long term goals? Where do you see yourself 1 and 5 years from now?
My interview was with the CEO and Head of the Plant Metabolic Division. There was no direction to the interview outside of the first 3 questions that they asked, which led to a decent amount of awkward pauses and staring. In addition, the CEO was cold - giving terse, sometimes one word answers to questions that I asked. One of them also referred to my potential coworkers as "people of your level". Maybe they were having a bad day, but the experience did not give me a favorable impression of their company.
