Pros

I can work from home.

Cons

Going downhill fast. Almost all of management and senior management has left or is leaving. Extremely short staffed. Low wages. No bonus. Over worked, underpaid. Outsourcing has ruined the morale of domestic employees and the customer experience. Third party sites are not held to the same quality expectations so we basically pay them to do nothing because they aren’t trained well and have no products and they get away with it. Amazon is cheap and it shows, this is not customer obsession. No one listens to agents or leadership, they do not try to retain good employees. If you’re salary, you won’t get a raise unless you get promoted which is nearly impossible, I haven’t had a raise since I started 4 years ago because “I’m at the max pay for my level” when I was told upon being hired yearly raises are given. No work life balance. This place is a complete mess currently and there is no urgency or care to fix it or find out why you can’t keep employees because they will just open more offshore sites to provide a terrible customer experience and then transfer the call to a US agent or US level 2 support because their leadership doesn’t know what they are doing either. I’ve been told by several managers to find a new job as they will likely be outsourcing everything in the near future and there will be very little US support left. They do not care about their employees at all, especially the front line workers. I do not think Amazon cares about making neighborhoods safer, but it’s supposedly Rings mission. Amazon cares about how cheap can they be and how rich can they get at the expense of peoples mental well being.

Pros

- lots of people care about the work - lots of cool projects to dig into and grow from

Cons

- owned by Amazon so you'd have to tolerate the constant threat of layoffs (I guess that's most big tech companies nowadays) - heavily pushing us to utilize AI solutions anywhere we can - not a lot of room for upward advancement

Pros

Free lunch and good snacks

Cons

The work culture is toxic. No one knows what’s going on and refuses to fix problems. CEO will contact you on weekends. No work life balance. There were launches where we would sleep only 2-3 hours a day for weeks. You will work through holidays and there is no overtime or any thanks for your effort. People will always point the finger at others and find one person to blame and that person will be punished via demotion. No accountability from the top and no patience. Others at the top will take credit for your wins and you will be punished for anything that goes wrong. Harassment is rampant. Women are not safe in this workplace. People of color are not safe. People are encouraged to bully each other and talk behind each other’s back about their personal life. There is no professionalism. People are quick to backstab you here. You can give up your whole life for this job but there still won’t be a ladder to an upwards position.
